Couples therapy, also known as relationship counseling, is a type of psychotherapy that helps partners improve their relationship, resolve conflicts, and build a deeper emotional connection. Whether you're dating, engaged, married, or navigating separation, online therapy offers a safe space to explore challenges and grow together.
Every relationship faces ups and downs, and online therapy can provide valuable support for couples. Relationship counseling can help with: communication breakdowns, frequent arguments or unresolved conflict, trust issues or infidelity, emotional distance or disconnection, life transitions (e.g., parenting, military deployment, retirement), and trauma or mental health challenges affecting the relationship. For military couples, therapy can also address unique stressors such as long deployments, reintegration, and the emotional impact of service-related trauma.
In online therapy, I help guide the conversation in a respectful, nonjudgmental way. I assist you in relationship counseling to: Understand each other’s perspectives, Improve communication and listening skills, Identify patterns that may be causing tension, Learn tools to manage conflict and strengthen connection, and Rebuild trust and intimacy. Therapy isn’t about placing blame but about working together to create a healthier, more fulfilling relationship.
Couples therapy is not just for relationships in crisis; it’s also a proactive way to strengthen your bond, deepen understanding, and grow together. Whether you're rebuilding after hardship or simply want to improve your connection, online therapy and relationship counseling can be powerful steps forward.

In your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will also talk about your medical history and any current symptoms you may be experiencing.
Therapy sessions are generally 50 minutes in length but can be adjusted based on individual needs and insurance company requirements, if using insurance.
The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs, goals, and insurance requirements when applicable. Many clients attend therapy once a week, while others may attend more or less frequently. We will work together to develop a personalized treatment plan.
